Traditionally, getting aerial video footage or photography was expensive, complicated, and limited by where the aircraft or helicopter could fly - such as minimum altitudes and restricted airspace.

NOW, leave those concerns behind. Waxworks now offers a unique solution to aerial photography and videography. Employing a purpose-designed electric-powered model helicopter, we can now put the camera exactly where the best shot can be taken.

The heli has a six foot bladespan and is outfitted with a custom-designed 3-axis camera mount allowing the crew to control the camera separately from the aircraft. Using a 2 man crew, the cameraman controls the camera direction, pan, tilt, focus, zoom and all the features available on the camera to get the best footage or shot while the pilot, a world-renowned professional model helicopter pilot, controls the helicopter's position and altitude precisely.

This technique offers many unique advantages.

• Fast set-up, in any location. We don't require a traditional airport as a base to start and end from. We can arrive at any location and achieve useable shots in minutes, not hours.
• We can fly safely at any height. Traditional planes are required by law to be 1000 feet above populated areas. Helicopters also have various restrictions which limit how close the camera can get to the action and where it can go. Our camera can be placed close to actors, animals and can fly in tight areas that no traditional system can go - like under bridges or near rooftops. • Our system is electric. This means near silent approaches. We can capture footage in conjunction with other ground-based cameras without being a distraction.
• We are cost effective. Not only is the cost for a day of shooting substantially less than hiring a full-size aircraft and pilot, but we can be much more prolific getting not only better but more shots in a day.
